STUDENT/ INSTRUCTOR/TEACHER/ ATHLETE
About Me :
I am a taekwondo instructor and a taekwondo athlete who competes nationally, but in between this, I also have school, which requires me to manage my time effectively and balance my academic responsibilities with my athletic and teaching commitments.
Professional Life :
I am a Taekwondo instructor currently working at Black Belt World Taekwondo in Toronto, Ontario. I have practiced Taekwondo for over five years at the same location. Before becoming an instructor, I spent about two years as an assistant instructor, working without pay. During this time, I dedicated myself to learning how to teach, building my confidence, and developing my leadership skills.I am passionate about Taekwondo, teaching, and leadership development. With over five years of practice at Black Belt World Taekwondo in Toronto, I’ve honed my skills both as a practitioner and an instructor. Before stepping into my current role, I spent two years as an assistant instructor, working unpaid to deepen my teaching abilities, build my confidence, and enhance my leadership skills. I find joy in helping students grow, fostering discipline, and creating a positive learning environment.

In this photo, I am with one of my students. He competed in this tournament, and I had the privilege of coaching him. He won a bronze medal, which I’m very proud of, especially since he was fighting against competitors who were older than him.
Education
I earned my high school diploma from St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School, but my educational journey is far from over. I am currently a first-year student in the Police Foundations program at Humber College, Lakeshore Campus. I am fortunate to be learning from inspiring professors who continue to broaden my understanding of the field.
Throughout my studies, I’ve developed the ability to balance school, work, and extracurricular activities with discipline and a positive attitude. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from accomplished educators at Humber College. For me, education goes beyond textbooks and theories—it’s about personal growth, expanding my worldview, and finding ways to make a meaningful impact. At Humber, I embrace the value of lifelong learning, which not only enriches my perspective but also drives me to serve with humility, kindness, and a commitment to positively contribute to my community and the world

The photo above shows me receiving my diploma, and the person handing it to me is my principal, Mr. Carey.
My Five Year Plan
Over the next five years, I plan to balance my academic studies at Humber College with community involvement and preparation for a career in law enforcement. In 2024, I will complete my first and second semesters at Humber, focusing on building a strong academic foundation. In 2025, I will finish my first year of college, gaining valuable knowledge and skills while continuing to volunteer with local organizations to develop leadership and communication abilities. By 2026, I will graduate from Humber College, having gained both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. With my firearms license already in hand, I will focus on seeking internships or part-time roles in security to further build my practical skills. I will also pursue additional certifications like First Aid/CPR and take on leadership roles in community projects to enhance my qualifications and prepare for a career in law enforcement. In 2027, I plan to apply to become an OPP officer, continuing to build my qualifications and experience. If I’m unable to secure this position, I will pursue a career as a corrections officer. Throughout this journey, I will stay dedicated to community service, mentorship, and preparing for a fulfilling career in law enforcement.
